This product is crafted by women members of a cooperative in a drought-prone region of western India. This work provides them with economic benefit and social prestige. The co-op is a member-owned Trust, and a member of the Fair Trade Federation. The journals are enveloped with hand-embroidered recycled fabric. The tree-free paper inserts are made using recycled fabric scraps. This product has a "Zero Tolerance" for aniline dyes, formaldehyde, and chlorine.
